A large city in the heart of unspoilt nature 

Limoges enjoys both the advantages of a big city and all the necessary sports and cultural facilities. It is also situated in the heart of unspoilt nature. Two and a half hours from the sea and the mountains, the joys of swimming and winter sports are easily accessible.  With no less than 280,000 inhabitants in its urban area, Limoges is a major regional city of Nouvelle Aquitaine.

With 720 km of coastline, an exceptional diversity of landscapes, a mild and sunny climate, our region is a particularly coveted tourist destination with no less than 27 million tourists per year. Several locations are classified “Grand Site de France”, as is the case with regional natural parks such as the Marais Poitevin, the Millevaches plateau, the Dune du Pilat or the marine natural park of Arcachon Bay.

An economic capital  

Economically, Limoges has a  diversified economic base, rich in SMEs (13,000 companies, or 66,610 employees) and a number of big names in the industry: Legrand, the world leader in products and systems for building electrical installations. The porcelain manufacturer Bernardaud and Haviland, the prestigious shoemaker J.M WESTON, Renault Trucks
